There’re many reasons why you might be thinking of changing your smile – chipped/worn out teeth because of years of grinding, uneven shape, or teeth that aren’t aligned. Veneers might be the solution to make you feel amazing about your smile without going through years of orthodontic treatment! With Porcelain Veneers, we can change the color, shape and length of your teeth in order to give you an esthetic smile that fits your face and personality
Here’s how it works:
First, we take photographs, discuss your desires and smile goals, and evaluate your facial symmetry and provide you with a comprehensive plan and approach to reach your desired smile. We will also take an impression and make a mold of your teeth. This will be sent to our skilled ceramists to make a wax-up (mock-up) of how the final veneers and your smile will look like.
Once we’ve discussed and agreed upon the wax-up and final shape of your smile, we can start the process of minimally preparing your teeth for the veneers. A final impression will be sent to our ceramists, and they will fabricate the highly esthetic and natural looking porcelain veneers that would fit your smile. During this appointment, we will make temporary veneers for your teeth based on the wax-ups. Dr Torkaman might decide to complete this stage in 2 appointments in order to ensure ideal results.
When the Porcelain Veneers are ready, we will remove the temporary veneers and try-in the custom made Porcelain Veneers. We will discuss and evaluate your smile, symmetry, speech and function, and bond them to your teeth after we’re sure you are happy with the final results.
After the Porcelain Veneers are bonded and delivered, we like to follow-up with you in 1-2 weeks in order to make sure that your gum tissue is healing correctly and that you are happy with your new smile! A night guard is most often recommended to be made after Porcelain Veneer treatment to protect your smile from excessive bruxing and night time grinding.
